About Us

The Mission of the Finance Department is to provide timely and accurate financial reports to the Commissioners and Department/Officials for the proper management of the county Budget and other Governmental Accounting and Financial reporting and analysis. The Finance department encompasses two divisions, Budget and Procurement.  Finance also collaborates with the Controller’s Office in a partnership manner to ensure best practices and compliance with the county’s fiscal affairs in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, government regulations, and sound business practices. The department serves as a resource for All County departments with regard to the development and implementation of fiscal decision-making. Responsibilities are Budget, Financial reports, Procurement functions and assisting with departmental budgets. 

Mission

The primary mission of the Finance Department is to prepare, monitor, analyze, and forecast the annual County budgets by providing timely and accurate financial reports to the Board of Commissioners and Department Directors/Elected Officials throughout the year.  In addition, we are responsible for providing the procurement services for all County department.  The finance Department is held in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and best practices from Governmental Finance Officers Association (GFOA).
