Adams County Law Library

About Us

The Adams County Law Library is a legal research facility maintained for the use of the Adams County Court of Common Pleas, County officials, County attorneys, and the general public. The focus of the collection is Pennsylvania law. It houses a legal reference collection primarily for the Common Pleas Judges and local attorneys, but available to all.

The Library is publicly funded and also supported by the Adams County Bar Association (ACBA). The Library is required to contain (in printed format) the opinions authored by the Adams County Court and all ordinances of local municipalities and townships.

The collection also includes the Pennsylvania Statutes (printed and online), Pennsylvania Code (online), and Court Rules (online). An electronic subscription to the Westlaw legal database expands the scope of the collection beyond the printed material housed in the Library.

The Adams County Law Library is a non-circulating collection whose mission is to provide excellent and courteous service to meet a variety of informational needs with regards to Pennsylvania State Statutes and cases as well as Federal Statutes and cases. The Law Library continues to ensure access to an ever-increasing amount of legal research information for all of its patrons.
