About Us

The Vision of the Northern Adams Regional Emergency Management Agency is to educate the citizens, businesses, and organizations of the municipalities regarding their roles in preparing for emergencies.

The Mission of the Northern Adams Regional Emergency Management Agency (NAREMA) is to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters affecting Biglerville Borough, Butler Township, Franklin Township, Menallen Township, and Tyrone Township in Adams County, Pennsylvania through an inter-municipal agreement. The mission will be accomplished through education, community outreach, and training. 

By creating an increased emphasis on disaster preparedness, NAREMA will reinforce communications and cooperation throughout the municipalities. By creating a community culture of preparedness and fostering partnerships, the participating municipalities will work together effectively and efficiently to respond to and recover from manmade or natural disasters.
