The Adams County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO), in cooperation with the U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) is providing the following information to our community. ICE and HIS are committed to protecting the public and ensuring that the rights of victims are carefully observed. HIS administers the Victim Notification Program which allows eligible victims and witnesses to obtain reliable and timely information regarding a criminal alien’s release from custody. However, victims and witnesses are required to register with ICE in order to receive notification of a criminal release. To better inform our community, the ACSO has placed a hyperlink to the HSI’s Victim Notification Program on our official Webpage. http://www.ice.gov/victim-notification/, a victim or witness can be transferred to a number of valuable victim service programs provided by ICE.
