Property Check

Property Check

‘PropertyCheck’ is a free-of-charge subscription-based feature that enables constituents to be automatically notified, by email or text, of any recorded document that affects their property.

‘PropertyCheck’ helps to protect Adams County constituents from potential property and mortgage fraud.   Although there is no guarantee that fraud could not happen to any one of us, Property owners can be proactive by enrolling (create an account) for the service via a web-based application on the Adams County Recorder of Deeds website.  The service allows residents to sign up to receive notifications when real estate documents are recorded on their property.  Residents can activate alerts based on their name or property address.  There is no cost to participate.  If you have any questions, please call the Recorder’s office directly at 717.337.9826.

To Set up an Account or to Log into your established Account:

Go to “Recorder of Deeds’, and click on “Public Records Search” on the left-hand side of that page.   You will see ‘PropertyCheck’ at the top of the page to where you can: make an Account & choose a PIN#, or to Log into your established Account.
