Parks, Recreation, and Green Space Grant Program

The purpose of the Adams County Parks, Recreation, and Green Space Grant Program is to provide funding for the preservation of agricultural lands, open space, park lands, historic and cultural resources, and the development of recreation and trail projects. The program guidelines have been revised to accommodate Act 13 funding allocations. 


The  application cycle is open annually, typically in June. Please check back or contact the Office for inquiries about future Round openings.  



Round Opening

The Adams County Parks, Recreation, and Green Space (PRGS) Grant Program will accept applications for park and recreation facility projects from Adams County municipalities and eligible not-for-profit organizations June 1 through August 31, 2026.


All applicants must schedule a pre-application meeting with the Program Coordinator before submitting an application. Please contact Kelly Koch for scheduling and additional information.  


Applications must be submitted to the Adams County Office of Planning and Development, located at the Adams County Agricultural and Natural Resources Center, 670 Old Harrisburg Road – Suite 100, Gettysburg, PA 17325 on, or before, August 31st, 2026.
