Parks, Recreation, and Green Space Grant Program

The purpose of the Adams County Parks, Recreation, and Green Space Grant Program is to provide funding for the preservation of agricultural lands, open space, park lands, historic and cultural resources, and the development of recreation and trail projects. The program guidelines have been revised to accommodate Act 13 funding allocations. 

The  application cycle is open annually, typically in June. Please check back or contact the Office for inquiries about future Round openings.

NEW APPLICATION ROUND OPEN

The next Application Round of the Adams County Parks, Recreation, and Green Space (PRGS) Grant Program is open to municipalities and eligible not-for-profit organizations. The PRGS Program is a competitive funding program, supported by the Adams County Board of Commissioners and administered by the Green Space Advisory Committee, which offers financial resources for eligible park and recreation projects in Adams County. 

PRGS funds may be used toward the protection and preservation of land used for agriculture, open space, recreation, and historical or cultural purposes, as well as developing park and recreation facilities. A pre-application meeting with the Program Coordinator is required before submission of applications. Please contact Kelly Koch with questions or to schedule a pre-application meeting. 

The Program will be accepting applications from June 3rd through August 30, 2024.
