To ensure your payment is processed correctly, follow these steps:
- Identify Your Collection Agency: Determine which collection agency is handling your account. If you are unsure, contact the Clerk of Courts Office for assistance.
- Make Payments Directly: Send all payments directly to the collection agency managing your account. The Cleck of Courts Office will not accept payments for cases that are with a collection agency.
Additional Information
Since the implementation of these procedures in 2012, the collection agencies have generated additional revenue without costing taxpayers. Accounts related to criminal, summary, and miscellaneous cases are referred to collection agencies once they meet specific criteria. Please not that additional fees may be applied to your account in accordance with our Fee Schedule.
If your account has been transferred to a collection agency, you must contact the respective agency to make a payment or arrange a payment plan.
We appreciate your prompt attention to these changes and your cooperation in resolving any outstanding accounts.
