Adams County residents, attorneys, and defendants are encouraged to download the new Adams County Clerk of Courts and Orphans Court mobile app to receive important alerts, news and information through the app, available free from the Google Play and Apple App Stores.
Receive notifications from the Clerk of Courts office about events, court calendar, changes to courts schedules, and new resources.
Through the app, you can apply for a marriage license, search criminal records, make fast and secure mobile payments, and access the court calendar.
With the coronavirus stay at home order, you may have more time for genealogy research. This app can assist you with your family history search relating to orphans court records including birth, death, and marriage records.
Defendants can sign up - through the app - for the Court Appearance Notification program and receive a text and/or email 4 days prior to their court day.

Court Appearance Notifications
The Adams County Clerk of Courts implemented an electronic notification system designed to send out automatic electronic reminders to defendants of upcoming criminal court dates. Text and email reminders are sent 4 days prior to your court hearing and again 24 hours before most court dates.
Defendants are encouraged to sign up for the text and email alerts by completing the form below or via the Adams County Clerk of Court mobile app. Click on the More icon and select “Court Appearance Notification sign up.”
Be sure to include your mobile phone number and/or email address that you wish to have the notifications sent to.
Do not reply to the email or text reminders as they are not monitored. If you wish to stop the text reminders, simply reply STOP and you will automatically be deactivated from the text alert. Text or data rates may apply.
