Real ID (effective 10/1/21) Certified Marriage Certificate

If you have been married more than once, you must show a CERTIFIED MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE that shows the transition between each name change. 

If you applied in Adams County, and were married after January 1, 2012, you can search, buy, and receive your certified copy on our web portal.  

Marriages prior to 2012 may need to be entered into our system before you can obtain your certified copy on the web portal.  Please call the office at 717-337-9806 ext. 1003 or 1004. 

If you were married prior to January 1, 2012, you may also request the certified copy via the mail.  Certified Marriage Record Request  complete the request for a certified copy of your marriage and be sure to include a self addressed stamped envelope for returning your certified copy.
