Real ID (effective 5/7/2025) Certified Marriage Certificate

If you have been married more than once, you must provide a certified marriage certificate that shows the name changes between each marriage. 

If you applied in Adams County and were married after January 1, 2012, you can search for, purchase, and receive your certified copy through our web portal.

For marriages that occurred prior to 2012, your information may need to be entered into our system before you can obtain your certified copy online. Please call our office at 717-337-9806, extensions 1005, for assistance.

If you were married before January 1, 2012, you can also request a certified copy by mail. To do this, complete the Certified Marriage Record Request form and be sure to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return of your certified copy.
