Property Improvement Permit
One of the tools the County has to maintain the real estate assessment rolls is the issuance of the Adams County Property Improvement Permit (Improvement Permit). The County requires an Improvement Permit for new construction, additions, alterations, and improvements with a value of $2,500 or more and when a mobile home is moved into a municipality within the County. Improvement Permits may be obtained in the Tax Services Department at the cost of $10.00.
Important
Please be advised that an Adams County Property Improvement Permit can only be issued with a corresponding municipal building or zoning permit or a municipal building permit exemption letter. Once obtained, a copy of the permit or letter must be submitted with the improvement permit application.
