Juror's Parking

• When entering the parking garage you must proceed to the top level and must park in any space marked 125 through 229. 
• When parking at the parking garage, DO NOT back into the parking spaces at that location or you may be subject to fine by the Gettysburg Borough Parking Authority.
• When appearing to serve on a specific trial, please remember to bring your parking token with you for the parking garage.

Of the many benefits that come with being a citizen of the United States

There is one benefit that serves as the lynchpin of our judicial system and, indeed, within the heart of our democracy. The benefit is jury duty. Jury duty symbolizes all that is great about our country; a reminder that our fate as a democracy relies on the perceptions of our citizens. Please consider these great words from our Founding Fathers: 

UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION, ARTICLE III, SECTION 2, The trial of all crimes, except in cases of impeachment, shall be by jury; and such trial shall be held in the state where the said crimes shall have been committed; but when not committed within any state, the trial shall be at such place or places as the Congress may by law have directed.

UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION, SIXTH AMENDMENT, In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.
